Meetings & Events

Stroud Businesswomen’s Network meets twice a month.

Please note that our main meetings are held at Minchinhampton Golf Club New Courses near Hampton Fields GL6 9BE, for full directions click the link.

There are two styles of meeting, our informal Coffee Catch Up – open to all Members and Friends offering a chance to catch up over coffee (!) and our main Members’ Networking Meeting where we regularly welcome inspirational speakers.

Both meetings are held on Thursday mornings. Joining details and other information are emailed in advance.  Please check individual events below to confirm the venue.

Our speakers are from across Gloucestershire and represent a wide range of interests including from the worlds of business, entertainment or charities and community organisations.

We also offer business skills training from top trainers, heavily subsidised for Members. In addition we organise social events, including a summer spectacular and Christmas lunch.

    Members Meeting with Speaker Faye Hatcher

    Everything I know about the media and what it’s taught me.

    Please note this meeting is a week early due to venue availability.

    Faye Hatcher has 25 years experience as a BBC broadcast journalist. She’s worked in busy local radio newsrooms and studios across the country. Faye was a producer and editor at BBC Radio 4, and she also presented and produced her own radio show for over 20 years, interviewing members of royalty, celebrities, politicians and the ‘common’ man. 

    Faye began her career in radio in the early 2000s, when it was still uncommon to hear regional accents on the radio and women in the media had to work that little bit harder to have their voices heard. 

    There are so many important life lessons Faye has learnt from being a journalist, and she's recently launched a portfolio career outside of the media bubble… and life has never been so exciting!

        Our get together for the festive season this year will be at the The Ship Inn at Brimscombe  renowned for a great atmosphere and delicious food.  Come along for our festive dining experience on Thursday 12th December at midday.  

        This is a great opportunity to meet to celebrate the season and to chat in a relaxed environment over lunch. 

        Members, friends and guests equally welcome even if you have not been to one of our meetings before. 

        Online booking will close at the end of Thursday 28th November 2024 in order to send the restaurant our pre-order.

        Guests please register by using your email address and follow the online instructions.  Please arrive at Noon on Thursday 12th December, for lunch at 12.30pm.

        You don't need to be a Member of Stroud Businesswomen's Network to join us at The Curio Lounge for informal networking, support, social and business chat over coffee. Bring a friend or colleague! 

        Come along between 9.30-11.00am to the Curio Lounge  9-11 King St, Stroud GL5 3BX (near the Five Valleys Centre - formerly Merrywalks).


        These get togethers are a great introduction to the SBN and our main Networking Meetings on the last Thursday of the month at Minchinhampton Golf Course New Courses (on the Tetbury Road opposite Gatcombe, near to the edge of Avening village GL6 9BE).
