Meetings & Events

Stroud Businesswomen’s Network meets twice a month.

Please note that our main meetings are held at Minchinhampton Golf Club New Courses near Hampton Fields GL6 9BE, for full directions click the link.

There are two styles of meeting, our informal Coffee Catch Up – open to all Members and Friends offering a chance to catch up over coffee (!) and our main Members’ Networking Meeting where we regularly welcome inspirational speakers.

Both meetings are held on Thursday mornings. Joining details and other information are emailed in advance.  Please check individual events below to confirm the venue.

Our speakers are from across Gloucestershire and represent a wide range of interests including from the worlds of business, entertainment or charities and community organisations.

We also offer business skills training from top trainers, heavily subsidised for Members. In addition we organise social events, including a summer spectacular and Christmas lunch.

    You don't need to be a Member of Stroud Businesswomen's Network to join us at The Curio Lounge for informal networking, support, social and business chat over coffee. Bring a friend or colleague! 

    Come along between 9.30-11.00am to the Curio Lounge  9-11 King St, Stroud GL5 3BX (near the Five Valleys Centre - formerly Merrywalks).


    These get togethers are a great introduction to the SBN and our main Networking Meetings on the last Thursday of the month at Minchinhampton Golf Course New Courses (on the Tetbury Road opposite Gatcombe, near to the edge of Avening village GL6 9BE).

  • Members Networking Meeting with speaker Peter Holtmeyer-Cole

    Members Meeting with Speaker Peter Holtmeyer-Cole manager of Salt Bakehouse.

    Peter Holtmeyer-Cole will be giving a talk on managing the Salt Bakehouse shop in Stroud & their market stalls on the Farmers Market every Saturday for the past 5 years.

    Salt Bakehouse is a family owned artisan bakery, baking amazing sourdough bread & wide range of tasty pastries. The business has changed from wholesale & retail business to a purely retail business. 

    Pete will  be talking about that transition & how lockdown challenged the business & how they have further adapted with the introduction of vans that go out to serve communities from Dursley to Frampton-upon-Severn to Minchinhampton.  It is an exciting time for Salt Bakehouse as they look forward in 2025 to moving their bakery from Stonehouse to Stroud. 

    Peter also has more than 35 years working in the European outdoor industry for such companies as Blacks Outdoors, Cotswold Outdoor, Gore-Tex, Rab & Lowe Alpine in retail, online & buying & merchandising.

      Display Tables for Members: We have a MEMBERS' DISPLAY TABLE in the meeting room. Please bring along your sample products/leaflets/flyers etc. First come first served!   Suggestions Box: Please use our new suggestions box to leave feedback, we would love to hear from you.

      Visitors/Guests are invited to come along:

      If you are a Friend of SBN or you know anyone who might enjoy being part of our Membership we welcome non-members to come along for a fee introductory meeting at one of our Main meetings to see how we work with a view to joining.  Drop us an email beforehand to enquiries@stroudbusinesswomen.org.uk  so that we can add you to our list.  We always do a quick round the room introductions where you will have the opportunity to introduce yourself and your business.
