Members Networking  Meeting with Speaker Liz Godsell of Godsells Cheese

Liz has lived and worked on a dairy farm in Leonard Stanley, Gloucestershire all her life.  Loving both cows and cheese, both are essential to her on a daily basis!

Liz and husband Bryan along with seven part time local ladies and gents are the team that makes up Godsells Cheese.   They started making cheese in 2001 just as Foot & Mouth broke out.  And after 21 years of making artisan cheese, they have almost perfected their product which includes Traditional hard cheeses, Double Gloucester, Single Gloucester, and Leonard Stanley Cheddar.  The way these cheeses are produced is quite innovative so that they have never had to throw a batch of cheese away, instead they just create a new cheese if something goes wrong!

They are part of "Free Range" milk, trying to add value to the milk that they produce upholding their ethos that cows should graze grass. Godsells' promise is that their cows should graze for a minimum of 180 days each year.

In addition they have added a vending machine to our activities selling Farm Fresh pasteurised, non homogenised milk at the farm gate along with their amazing cheeses, and open 24/7 !

Liz is going to tell us all about her business journey through the 3 "C's " cows, kids and cheese !!

Venue Minchinhampton Golf Club, New Courses, off Hampton Hill GL8 8SB.
